Our first book this fall, "My Life with the Saints" by Fr. James Martin, is one that I know everyone will enjoy. You may already be familiar with the author. Fr. Martin has appeared as a guest on many television programs and is an associate editor of America the National Catholic Weekly magazine. His style is conversational, and he brings a humorous, modern, realistic, and reverent perspective to the faith. This book received several awards and was even selected as one of the "Best Books of 2006" by Publisher's Weekly.Later on we will read a book on prayer, a Christmas classic, the first encyclical by Pope Benedict XVI, and end with a novel.
